Dr. Fragen's focus on Sports Medicine and his intuitive nature make him the ideal candidate to recognize the unique medical service needs associated with Public Employee care.  He recognizes that, like any sports team, public employees need a complete fitness program and excellent preventive care so that members are ready and able to perform at the highest level when the need arises.  While sports teams have more regularly scheduled events, the importance of peak performance ability is far more critical for the public employee.  Dr. Fragen is proud to be assisting within this sector of the community.  He has worked with more than 30 different public employers and sees more than 1000 public employees per year, many of whom consider Dr. Fragen to be their primary care physician.  Dr. Fragen looks forward to expanding his  corporate client base as well as to developing more and stronger relationships within the Public Employee arena.

95% of practicing medicine is communication, especially when learning a patient's history.  Whether seeing someone for an annual physical or to treat a specific complaint, Dr. Fragen takes the time needed to truly get to know his patients, taking a holistic approach wherein he attempts to understand the physical impacts in a patient's life, but also emotion and mental circumstances.  He has developed specialized tools to more efficiently gather the data to build a strong understanding of his patients.  The bond between physician and patient is again critical in Dr. Fragen's practice to develop the partnership necessary for a successful medical program, whether curative or preventive.  It is only when the patient truly understand his/her condition, the options available, and the associated risk factors, that the patient can make an educated decision regarding treatment and subsequently take ownership for the prescribed regime.  Dr. Fragen does expect his patients to take responsibility for their own health and well-being; requiring that they have a good preventive care routine and an interest in developing and maintaining their well-being.  On the other hand, he makes himself regularly available and makes a point of following up with patients to make sure that treatment is going smoothly and to verify that all a patient's questions have been answered.
